A Story Bigger Than Us

Celebrate Village Church’s 15-year journey by recognizing God’s faithfulness in crafting a larger, eternal story that transcends individual lives and moments. This week calls us to reflect on how our church’s history is a part of God’s greater redemptive plan that stretches across generations. As we recount God’s providence and sovereignty, especially through Hebrews 11:39-40 and Ephesians 2:10, we are reminded that our lives and contributions are not isolated but woven into a divine narrative. Our gratitude for the past fuels our confidence in the future, and our generosity today helps write the next chapter in God’s ongoing story.

A God Bigger Than Us

This week centers on God’s unmatched greatness and sovereignty—a God whose plans and power far exceed human comprehension. Anchored in the story of the loaves and fishes in John 6:9-13, we are invited to trust in God’s ability to do immeasurably more with what we offer. Rather than leaning on our own limitations, we’re called to respond with bold generosity, confident that God can multiply even our smallest gifts for his glory. The aim is to move hearts toward awe and worship, inspiring a deeper reliance on the God who transcends all.

A Mission Bigger Than Us

Our focus shifts to the eternal mission of God—to bring the Gospel to all people—and how Village Church plays a vital role in this mission both locally and globally. Drawing from Romans 10:13-15 and Matthew 28:18-20, this week emphasizes the urgency and importance of participating in God’s Kingdom work. We are not passive observers but active partners in spreading the Good News. Through our financial support, prayer, and personal involvement, we help advance the Gospel and transform lives. The challenge is to see every contribution, no matter the size, as a vital part of fulfilling the Great Commission.

A Legacy Bigger Than Us

This week highlights the impact of today’s faithfulness on tomorrow’s discipleship. Through the lens of 1 Chronicles 29:1-9 and Psalm 78:4-7, we are encouraged to think beyond ourselves and consider the legacy we leave for future generations. Spiritual and material investments made today can spark revival, equip ministries, and lay the groundwork for enduring transformation. Whether through facilities, programs, or mentorship, our generosity plants seeds that will bear fruit for decades to come. Stories of past faithfulness remind us that what we do now matters for the church’s legacy tomorrow.

A Future Bigger Than Us

In the final week, we look ahead with hope and boldness, trusting God for what lies beyond the horizon. Rooted in Ephesians 3:20-21, Matthew 6:20, and Revelation 21:1-5, this message casts a compelling vision for eternity and calls us to make lasting investments in God’s Kingdom. We are invited to respond with sacrificial generosity, not just for the immediate needs but for the enduring impact the church will have in Canada and beyond. The series concludes with a call to joy and anticipation, as we place our trust in a God building a future far greater than we could ever imagine.
