We're thrilled to share two answers to prayer that many of you have been believing with us for the past year.
- Building Permit - Received!
We have received the full Building Permit for the National Ministry Centre. After navigating a lengthy process that started in June 2024, full construction can proceed without restriction. - Financing - Final Stages!
After preparing a detailed Business Case outlining the project and financial framework, we engaged with 8 lenders and narrowed the field to 3. After negotiating further, one emerged as the leader, and we are now working through the final stages of due diligence. We are grateful for your prayers for wisdom and discernment through this process.
The site is busy as ever: the north-side retaining wall is complete, all building foundation work is in place, and next up is installing under-slab site services (plumbing and electrical) before the first-floor slab is poured.
A Word About Giving
Thank you to many of you who have been fulfilling your pledge commitments. This is very helpful as we secure subcontractors one by one, and pay their respective invoices. We want to remind everyone of two things:
- If you have pledged: If you have not yet begun giving toward the National Ministry Centre, we invite you to make your first gift or set up recurring giving as soon as possible. Every dollar given now delays when we need to start drawing on the construction loan, and by how much.
- If you are NEW to Village or have not yet made a commitment, we invite you to invest in the National Ministry Centre by making a pledge here.
